New Watches from TUDOR by shawn | April 14, 2023 TUDOR recently announced its latest timepiece offerings at Watches & Wonders in Geneva. At this week-long event, TUDOR showcased its latest pieces from the Black Bay collection, and we at Tara are pleased to offer you an overview of TUDOR’s 2023 offerings. Black Bay: The latest aesthetic and technical evolution to Tudor’s emblematic diving watch, the Black Bay, is its third iteration. This now iconic model is configured with a new METAS-certified movement, the self-winding Manufacture Calibre MT5602-U. The testing of this movement is rigorous, Certified by the Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute (COSC.) This certification is performed at two temperatures, six different positions, and at two different levels of power reserve, 100% and 33%. What this means is that the watch is certified to -2/+4 seconds each day, making this watch extremely reliable and ensures timekeeping accuracy. This META’s certified movement currently only arrives in the burgundy bezel with a contrasting and slightly domed black dial, all housed in the “original” 42mm stainless steel case. The piece is offered in a three-link or a five-link stainless steel bracelet and an additional rubber strap that comes with Tudor’s “T-fit” rapid adjustment clasp. This handsome watch is sure to please the watch lover in your life. Black Bay 54: This new addition to Tudor’s Black Bay series is described as “the most true-to-form example” of the Maison’s first dive watch. Arriving in a historically accurate 37mm case made of stainless steel, this timepiece retains practically most, if not all, of the defining features of the model. On the subtly domed and radial-brushed black dial are Tudor’s hallmarked “snowflake” hands, complete with applied indices that are coated in Super-LumiNova. Housed inside the Black Bay 54 is the MT5400 Manufacture movement that powers the watch for up to 70 hours. With the 37mm case, TUDOR has created a gorgeous watch that can be worn by all genders and is water resistant to 200 meters. Black Bay 31/36/39/41: Bringing a unique aesthetic to the Black Bay series, these new models sport a mix of finishes that elevates the iconic classic with a contemporary flair. Available in four different case sizes, 31mm, 36mm, 39mm, and 41mm, the timepiece is outfitted with satin-brushed and polished stainless steel accents. Meanwhile, the dials choices are sure to please, with either blue, anthracite, or a light champagne hue. As for movement, the 31mm version runs on the MT5201, the 36mm on the MT5400, and the 39mm size with the MT5602, while the MT5601 caliber powers the 41mm. This series provides exceptional style with an excellent value proposition. Black Bay GMT: Sporting a handy, multiple time-zone complication, the Black Bay GMT is equipped with all the usual design features typical from TUDOR, with added GMT functionality. Its domed dial comes in a stunning opaline finish, which contrasts the iconic anodized rotating bezel in burgundy and blue. This GMT is an industry leader and utilizes the highly functional and COSC-certified MT5652 Manufacture movement, which provides 20 ATM water resistance, as well as a 70-hour power reserve. Aside from the original three-link stainless steel bracelet, the GMT is also offered in a sporty black fabric strap with burgundy red accents. This amazingly accurate timepiece is a gorgeous timepiece packed full of technical functionality. As you can see, TUDOR has been busy creating a group of new watches that you must see in person.
